It began as a mistake.

Three years natural got me lean and invisible. Five months of reading the papers and running what I read on myself changed my frame and my face (no bro advice, no gym myths, before and after shown).

01 · The dumbbells

Winter 2022. My For You page was full of red pill guys. Just train, bro. Just work, bro. Do it long enough and you'll get there.

So I bought 3 kg dumbbells off Amazon. It was the last money I had. I got it by selling a friend an old PlayStation controller.

Then I had a new problem. I had to hide them.

My parents never found out I jerked off at night. But them catching me training at night? That scared me way more.

I was 60 kg. Skinny. High anxiety. Nothing going for me. A kid like that starts working out and people laugh at him. Even his parents.

I did it anyway.

I put a form tutorial on my screen. First rep. It was the hardest thing in the world. Like pushing something heavy while you know somebody out there could move it with one finger.

I felt worthless. But I liked the smell of it. I liked the sweat dropping off my head onto the floor during push-ups. Five, maybe ten. Light guys are supposed to do way more.

02 · The gym

First day at the gym, I went with a friend. He was obese. I'll be honest, back then I judged fat guys hard. He couldn't even see his own dick. I went with him anyway.

Two kids going from machine to machine, throwing weights around. What else do you do?

A big guy told us: eat more, take creatine, you'll be big soon.

I believed him. I didn't know half the big guys in there were cheating the whole time. That came later.

03 · The horror story

On my phone I watched bodybuilders. My mom called it horse muscle. I asked my parents if they knew anyone who took that stuff. They told me a horror story.

You know how parents are with needles. Drink alcohol and it's normal. Pull out a needle and you're a heroin addict.

My dad said the guys at his old gym injected in the restroom. They were huge. And they all died at 25, 30. Heart attacks. He said it like he was confessing a crime. My mom thinks it's fake muscle that blows you up like a balloon.

So you believe them. You think you can get there natural.

That's how I lived. I didn't question it much. I wanted to run MK-677. My friends talked me out of it. Everyone was fearmongering.

But why? Is it really that bad?

I wanted everything.

So I trained my ass off. Three years. I got lean, 10% body fat. I thought I looked pretty good. But I had no muscle, and nobody really cared.

04 · The lie

The mistake was listening to my parents.

Their research lives in their heads. Case reports and gym stories from decades ago. Things have changed. You have every paper at your fingertips now. They don't read them. They're on TikTok watching dad reels.

Their rule is simple. Whatever society calls normal is fine. Everything else is bad.

Same with alcohol. Skip the beer at a party and you're weird. Just have one. It helps you relax. You never enjoy life.

But a drug that makes your life better and speedruns you through all of it? That's where they draw the line.

Not me.

I'd been lied to. At first I was skeptical, so I dug into the research. What hormones do we actually have? Are all steroids only for horses?

No. They're not.

The bodybuilding world still looked like a cult to me. But I wanted the cheat codes. Same mindset I had in video games. Sooner or later you take it into real life.

05 · The needle

So I started. I had nothing to lose. I looked like shit. I had no muscle. I wanted respect. I wanted people to finally see that I train.

Here's the funny part. Three years natural, and people still don't know you lift.

So I picked up the needle. 27 gauge. Left shoulder.

I felt the dopamine go through my whole body, head to toe. Like I was born again. Like I'd never been a man and now I was. Like someone woke me up from a coma.

Five months later? I don't like to brag. But this is how I look now.

Same mirror. Drag it.

Doesn't even look like the same guy, does it?

The face changed too.

06 · The part nobody posts

So how did I do it without ending up like the guys in my dad's story?

I didn't trust the bros. I didn't trust the fear either. I read the trials. Human data first. What it does, what it costs, what shows up in the bloodwork. Thin evidence gets called thin, even when it's on my side.

That's The Conquest. Everything I read, sorted so you don't need forty tabs open. And me in your DMs when you have a question.

You can keep watching dad reels. Or you can read the paper.
